Link Community Development, Scotland’s leading international education charity, are looking for Trustees and/or committee members to help us deliver on our mission of providing quality education to every child in sub-Saharan Africa. We are particularly interested in connecting with people who have financial, international education, legal, fundraising, marketing or media experience but if you think you have something to contribute, we would love to hear from you.

Fundraising Officer

We're looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Fundraising Officer to help us grow a robust pipeline of funding opportunities to support our mission to provide quality education to children in Africa.

This new role would suit an ambitious self-starter with experience in fundraising and/or research, with an interest in developing their skills in global international development. In return, the role offers the opportunity to work as a part of an ambitious, friendly and supportive team, delivering impactful work supporting children’s right to a quality education.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level (or have equivalent experience), a good team player and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Responsibilities will include researching and developing a pipeline of funding opportunities, pro-active stewardship of existing and recurring donors, developing new fundraising activities and campaigns, and managing a fundraising database.

Project Officer

We're looking for a skilled Project Officer to support the effective management of large multi-year programmes working with global partners. If you have excellent organisational, written and verbal communication and negotiation skills, we want to hear from you!

We are looking for an individual with a highly developed interest and demonstrable capabilities in partner coordination, organisational systems and policy compliance, who will work very closely with colleagues in Link and our partner bodies. You must be organised and detail-oriented with advanced interpersonal communication skills and excellent systems management experience. You must be able to remotely support a multi-country, multi-cultural team while based in Edinburgh. You must be able to travel regularly to our partner countries, up to four times per year for up to 4 weeks at a time. You will be a strong team player, who is able to work effectively within and across teams.
