A fantastic opportunity exists for an Engagement Officer to join the team and drive forward the charity’s work in Scotland. As Engagement Officer your role will be to recruit older people and volunteers, and to raise awareness amongst the public, voluntary sector and identify key partners and referral agencies across Scotland.
Who are we looking for?
Ideal candidates will possess excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and older people. You will have experience of working with different sectors to form partnerships and be comfortable in articulating the charity and its mission to potential partners. You will be able to engage with new guests and attend groups (where needed) across Scotland when required. You will lead and motivate others, to give constructive feedback on their performance and to provide ongoing support, guidance and development and mentoring. Experience in delivering and implementing community projects would be an advantage however not essential for the role.

The charity focuses on the support that is needed now to help those affected by blood cancer cope during a diagnosis and beyond. An exciting opportunity exists for a Regional Coordinator to join the charity. As Regional Coordinator within your region (Scotland), you will be responsible for managing all activities e.g. support groups, identifying local opportunities; raising awareness of the charities services with healthcare professionals caring for blood cancer patients. Who are we looking for?
Ideal candidates will have excellent organisational and time management skills. You will be committed to supporting patients, carers and family members. You will be highly IT literate having a solid understanding of MS Office, Teams, GoogleDocs and Zoom. Excellent communication, presentation and listening skills are essential for this role. Working within the charity sector or with cancer patients would be an advantage however not essential. You will also need a full UK driving license.
Civitas Recruitment are delighted to be working with a UK based international development charity with over 50 years of experience delivering education projects around the world. The charity’s projects reach people, especially women who often missed out on school or training opportunities due to extreme poverty, conflict or discrimination. An exciting opportunity exists for a Regional Fundraising Coordinator to join the charity. As Regional Fundraising Coordinator, you will be responsible for raising unrestricted income through a variety of streams including individual donors and events. You will be developing and managing community engagement relationships and will be building the profile of the charity’s work with donors and other stakeholders. It is a permanent, part time role (21 hours per week) home based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow.
Who are we looking for?
Ideal candidates will have experience of community fundraising. The role will require an ability to engage and present to community networks including churches, small businesses well as in schools. Candidates will have experience of securing funds and of achieving realistic fundraising targets. You will have at least two years’ experience of managing networks of volunteers or other relevant experience of working with volunteers. You will have experience organising fundraising events/ mass participation events. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with individuals from a range of backgrounds is essential for this role. Existing network links in Scotland would be an advantage however it is not essential for the role.
