Are you a kind, compassionate person with a passion for human rights? We are looking to recruit a kind and committed professional to lead Visible Women+, a new 3-year project funded by the Scottish Government via the Equality and Human Rights Fund.

Kairos Women+ is a community-led, women’s space based in Renfrewshire. A second home for women and non-binary folk, we inspire transformational change in the lives of the women+ we work with by collaboratively creating opportunities through workshops, events, training, and courses.

Visible Women+ is a participatory project which aims to increase women's influence in the development and delivery of human rights awareness raising workshops through training and consultation. It will also provide one-to-one support and voluntary opportunities to women+, particularly those with multiple protected characteristics.

The role involves working closely with our campaigning group, the Equalities Collective, to undertake a consultation focussed on women and non-binary people’s human rights. The role involves a significant amount of workshop development, delivery, and evaluation. In addition, the post-holder will be working closely with women+ to improve their access to human rights and increasing the accessible communication across the organisation. Trustee Role

Kairos Women+ is a community-led, women’s space based in Johnstone, Renfrewshire. A second home for women and non-binary folk, we inspire transformational change in the lives of the women+ we work with by collaboratively creating opportunities through workshops, events, training and courses. Kairos Women+ began as a project within Active Communities (Scotland) Ltd funded by The Robertson Trust. Now, as we move towards becoming an independent charity, we are seeking to recruit new trustees to complete our board and our skillset.

The aims of Kairos Women+ are:

  1. Promoting equality and diversity for the public benefit
  2. The advancement of women and non-binary people’s citizenship or community development through (but not limited to) providing volunteer opportunities
  3. The relief of women and non-binary people in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage

We are looking to recruit several Trustees at this stage to expand the skillset of our Board. Ideal candidates will have a commitment to the above aims and they will have skills & experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Business Development
  • Human Resources
  • Legal
  • Finance – in particular, we are looking for a Treasurer to guide us through our first years as an independent organisation

Relevant knowledge in the following areas is desirable but not necessary: Fundraising, Political & Parliamentary.

In these initial stages, we are meeting monthly via Zoom. In future, trustee meetings will be held bi-monthly, then quarterly.

We are passionate about equality, diversity & inclusion and we especially welcome applications from: disabled women, trans women, non-binary people, LGB women and BAME women.

We are looking to recruit a kind, compassionate and skilled professional to support Kairos Women+ grow and develop as a charity. Kairos Women+ is a community-led women’s organisation in Renfrewshire, providing a range of support and opportunities including personal development, training, creative workshops, social events and one-to-one support.

The post will involve taking responsibility for a number of administrative and financial duties including supporting the creation of administrative systems; maintaining course waiting lists; organising bookings; supporting our financial processes; sending appointment letters/making phone calls; monitoring donations and petty cash; and preparing, collating and recording of data. The successful applicant will work closely with other members of staff, volunteers, students and other organisations as appropriate.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, compassionate, and kind individual into the service to support the range of opportunities available to women and non-binary people. Kairos Women+ is a community-led women’s organisation in Renfrewshire, providing a range of support and opportunities including personal development, training, creative workshops, social events and one-to-one support.

The post will involve supporting women and non-binary people in the community; facilitating support groups and group work sessions, working one-to-one with women, and working closely with volunteers. In particular, the post-holder will facilitate a mental health support group and other support groups, co-facilitate Beautiful Women (our Personal Development Programme) alongside a Project Worker and work with women+ and volunteers one-to-one to encourage engagement in groups. The successful applicant will work closely with other members of staff, volunteers, students, and other organisations as appropriate.
