Better Lives is an integrated drug and alcohol service delivered by Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust in partnership with WDP.

The service consists of both clinical and psychosocial and is CQC registered to provide a range of clinical interventions including BBV & health interventions, OST, and community detox, as well as robust family and carers and service user involvement provision.
The Role
As the Safeguarding Families/Safeguarding Adults Recovery Practitioner, you will support parents/carers, children and young people from the Eastern European community, with a specific focus on the Romanian community who are involved in problematic drug and/or alcohol misuse to minimise the impact of this substance misuse on their children. The role
We are recruiting to a specialist Family Safeguarding Recovery Practitioner for this team. Being key members of the FSS team, you will provide brief advice and education to those with an identified substance misuse need, work to engage and re-engage them in structured treatment and work in partnership with the FSS multidisciplinary team.

The criminal justice recovery practitioner role will carry a caseload of primarily service users who are engaged in the criminal justice system and undertake a wide range of ‘duty’ and ‘care-coordination’ functions, working with service users in the from the point of first contact through to their planned exit from the service following treatment.

Launched in 2018, WDP Merton is a fully integrated substance misuse service, providing clinical and psychosocial interventions, operating from a main treatment hub, with additional satellites within the community. About The Role

WDP Redbridge is an established, integrated community service delivered across several provisions in the Borough. The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to hold a key role in our recovery team of a permanent duty practitioner. This role will not hold a caseload of their own but will be able to support the service to ensure that we maintain effective cover and a high standard of treatment when needed.
The duty practitioner will be able to issue prescriptions, conduct assessments, or hold keyworking appointments or groups when other practitioners are unavailable, across a caseload that includes service users who are prescribed OST, have alcohol dependence, or are using (or abstinent) of other substances.
The duty practitioner will be able to provide high quality harm reduction advice in person and by phone for all substances and within our needle exchange, to assist with dry blood spot testing, issuing naloxone kits and training, and taking referrals.

Passmores House is a residential recovery community for people with a dependency on drugs and/or alcohol, we offer residential detoxification and stabilisation packages, as well a full rehabilitation programme, all built around the individual. The house is based in a beautifully renovated and historic building, set in a leafy park close to the transport hub of Harlow in Essex.

We are looking for a dynamic and committed individual to join our Subwize Young People’s service in Barking and Dagenham, working with a creative and innovative team. This rewarding and exciting role will be key in providing proactive and targeted interventions within YOI’s and the community to high-risk young people to support them as they transition into adult services, exit gangs and reduce/stop offending. This includes providing links with support services, positive activities and education, employment and training as well as treatment services.
You will also provide information and advice to professionals and key stakeholders about the resources and services available to the 17-24 age group in Barking & Dagenham in relation to youth crime exploitation, violence, gang disruption and prevention and associated issues such as substance misuse and mental health.
You will:
• Work within the Complex Criminal Justice team to engage and provide targeted interventions to young people known to the criminal justice system.

Are you a nurse looking for a new challenge in developing pathways and processes for service users within Redbridge?
The Service
WDP Redbridge is an established, integrated community service delivered across several provisions in the Borough. The service consists of both clinical and psychosocial elements and is CQC registered to provide a range of clinical interventions including BBV and health interventions, OST, and community detox, as well as having family and carers and service user involvement provision.
Together we offer a wide range of pharmacological, psychosocial, recovery-orientated, health focused and inpatient interventions that support individuals and their families who wish to receive advice, assessment, and treatment for their drug and alcohol related needs.
The role
The post holder will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary team and as directed by management will lead on BBV screening and vaccinations and dual diagnosis. Specific duties will include undertaking health and wellbeing assessments and interventions and supporting drug and alcohol prescribing and detoxification programs. The post holder will support with development and delivery of clinical health across the team.

Are you a receptionist or administrator who is interested in working in the substance misuse sector to help people make positive changes in their lives? This new role is an opportunity to join one of WDP’s fully-integrated flagship services.
The Service
Launched in 2018, WDP Merton is a fully-integrated substance misuse service, providing clinical and psychosocial interventions, operating from a main treatment hub, with additional satellites within the community. The team actively promotes recovery and works with individuals that are directly and indirectly affected by substance misuse, working with the local community to improve the health, wellbeing and functioning of Merton residents, irrespective of circumstance.
The Role
The receptionist and administrator for WDP Merton is the ‘first face of the service’, providing a warm and professional welcome for service users, professionals and our local partners and stakeholders.
The post-holder will be able to demonstrate a non-judgemental attitude and an ability to engage with people from diverse backgrounds. With strong IT and communication skills, they will be able to manage a busy reception and switchboard, and support the service with taking and processing referrals and assessments, correspondence and invoices.

The post holder will have experience of managing service users receiving community and supporting pathways for residential-based clinical interventions for alcohol, opiate and other substance use dependency, as well as being recovery-focused.
