Having grown considerably in the last year, we now are looking for a Finance Officer to carry out responsibilities crucial to the financial health of the organisation.
Ideally, you will be experienced in the use of Xero for all accounting operations including invoicing, bill payment, reports and budget preparations. You will also be able to demonstrate ability in managing all accounting activities including bank reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable. You should also have excellent organizational skills and be able to handle time-sensitive tasks.
Ultimately, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of our financial transactions and procedures and will report to the CEO and the board of trustees.

Having grown significantly during the covid pandemic, we now want to future proof the organisation by employing someone to focus on our income generation. Although we expect grant applications to be part of the strategy moving forward, we also expect the successful candidate to take a creative approach to developing current income streams and to identifying new ones.
We are looking for a creative thinker who has experience of charity fundraising strategy to help us to build for the future.
Healing for the Heart are looking to recruit an office manager to assist with the organisational development of the charity. We are looking for someone who is forward thinking as well as process aware and who has previous management/leadership experience. The right person should have considerable experience in administration, the design and evaluation of processes as well as finance management in order to lead the office team, supporting the continued growth of the charity.
At Healing for the Heart, we are people focussed and so excellent interpersonal skills are key to the success of this role. The role will involve responsibility for leading the small office team as well as managing and liaising with outsourced financial operations and so excellent organisational skills are essential as is the ability to work unsupervised. As this is a leadership position, we also expect that you will have excellent communication skills and a passion to see people flourish.
We anticipate that this role will become key in our monitoring and evaluation process and is a role which we see developing as the organisation develops.
As everything we do at Healing for the Heart is motivated by our Christian faith, this management post carries a Genuine Occupational Requirement in line with the Equality Act 2010. There is an expectation that the successful candidate will offer pastoral support to staff when appropriate and will also lead prayer and represent the organisation in Christian faith settings.
