Our Night Care Officers work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing high standards of care and support to our young people. The postholder will work in an environment that can be challenging as well as rewarding, and will develop and maintain appropriate relationships with young people, colleagues and other agencies.
We are interested in experienced residential child care workers for this post who have the ability to problemsolve effectively, manage challenging situations through a relational approach with our young people, and support the day team in maintaining a safe living environment for our young people to enjoy.
The post of Senior Practitioner will contribute to the effective operational management of our residential care services. Through assisting the management team, the role will contribute to the provision of safe, secure and nurturing environments for our young people. An important aspect of the role includes mentoring and coaching staff members and building the capacity of the staff team to deliver high quality services. Demonstrating a strong commitment to DDP practice, the Senior Practitioner will act as an effective role model using the principles of Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy (PACE) in their engagement with young people, colleague and others.
The successful applicant will possess sound experience and understanding of residential care and education, and have the ability to apply theory to practice, including attachment and trauma as well as DDP. You will be qualified in childcare; social work; community learning and development or another relevant discipline.
As Assistant Service Manager you will support the Service Manager in the running of a service. You will have a strong focus on developing the practice of the team to ensure that we are providing the best possible environment and service for our young people. Our expectation is that you will have substantial experience in working with young people and can demonstrate a strong commitment to improving their lives. You may have a background in residential childcare; health; community learning and development; social work or other related professions.
The successful applicant will have considerable experience in, and be able to demonstrate, a strong commitment to continuous professional development. The role also includes partnership working with colleagues across services to deliver initiatives including Curriculum for Excellence and Getting It Right For Every Child. You will have a role in embedding approaches to self-evaluation and improvement. You will also have the opportunity to be creative and support us to develop innovative, sector-leading practice.
We are looking for Practitioners from a range of backgrounds including residential childcare; health; community learning and development; social work and other related professions. We are interested in people who can bring a range of skills, experience and qualities that will impact on improving outcomes for our young people and contribute to our teams being able to provide high quality services to our young people.
Our Practitioners enjoy working a variety of shifts that may include days, evenings, weekends and sleepovers (sleepover payments of approximately £5,000 per annum applicable).
Service Managers, Continuing Care
As exciting opportunity has arisen to lead and manage our continuing care service. You will have responsibility for managing a residential service supporting five young people in their transition to adulthood. You will create a continuing care service for young people supporting them with their own tenancies, further learning and employment. You will lead and support a team who will support young people to develop their independent living and employability skills ensuring that young people are connected to services in their communities.
We are looking for a highly competent manager with demonstrable competencies in leadership and management. Your approach should be creative and innovative with high aspirations for the future of our young people. Having a background in community learning and development / youth work; employability; health and / or residential care will be advantageous.
Service Managers, Residential Care
We are looking for a skilled and creative Service Manager with significant residential care / youth work experience to manage one of our services. This exciting role will support the engagement and participation of young people in a wide range of activities that support their life journey and improve their life chances. The successful candidate will be part of the service management team and have line management responsibility for a team of staff. The postholder will have a key role across the organisation to develop the youth work skills of all staff complimenting Dyadic Developmental Practice (DDP) in engaging with young people. We are looking for someone who is creative and innovative in their approach.
