Cycling Without Age Scotland
Cycling Without Age Scotland

Charity registered in Scotland SC048128

What Cycling Without Age Scotland does NOT do is try to make one model work for every Chapter (branch). Our core aim is always the same: to enhance and enrich lives by giving elderly and disabled people access to the beautiful outdoors through our pioneering trishaw rides, access which is denied to so many people simply because of age or limited mobility. We also maintain the highest and robust standards of safety in all our operations, fully complying with the requirements of the Scottish Care Inspectorate, and develop even further what is already a recognised brand. This allows all who join us to feel and be an integral part of a highly respected Scotland-wide movement.

Operations and Development Officer

  • Full time
  • £24,000 – £30,000
  • Larbert (Cycling Without Age Scotland HQ) with travel throughout Scotland.
  • Closing 18th October 2021

This new role offers an exciting opportunity to play a key part in a pioneering charity which, with its innovative Trishaws, offers a life-enhancing and life-enriching service to people of all ages who face mobility challenges, especially those who feel lonely and isolated.

Cycling Without Age Scotland (CWAS) is a community focused organisation which now operates from the Borders to our outer isles and is growing all the time. It is the only Country “Chapter” (national organisation) in the 50-country global movement, Cycling Without Age, to receive central government funding: recognition of the greatly valued roles we’re carrying out in society, from tackling loneliness and isolation and encouraging physical activity to promoting green transport.

The highly organised, committed and flexible person who carries out this fulfilling role will enjoy a wide range of varied activities that will help the smooth-running of CWAS’ operations as it continues to grow, as well as developing projects, forming crucially important relationships with our Chapters (branches) and volunteers all round Scotland and our partners.
