Communications and Policy Manager

  • Part time
  • £27,000 pro-rata
  • Edinburgh
  • Closing 27th February 2020

An exciting new part-time post (21 hours/week) with Scotland's creative ageing organisation.

Luminate's programme is growing, and the Communications and Policy Manager is a key post as our organisation continues to change and evolve.

The postholder will be responsible for planning and implementing a range of marketing, PR and audience development activities that support the delivery of the organisation’s strategic goals. They will research, monitor and analyse policy developments that affect the creative lives of older people in Scotland, and will plan, implement and support advocacy and influencing strategies to support Luminate’s vision that all older people in Scotland are able to access high quality arts and creative activities whatever their background and circumstances and wherever they live.

Luminate is one of Creative Scotland’s regularly funded organisations, and is supported by the Baring Foundation, Age Scotland and a range of other trusts and foundations. The charity has a small staff team and the Communications and Policy Manager will work closely with the Director, General Manager and other project staff. Luminate is based in Age Scotland’s Edinburgh office, and we also work closely with Age Scotland colleagues.
