Projects Worker

The focal point of the role of Projects Worker will be in supporting church partners and volunteers.

Our experience has shown us that working closely with partner churches to deliver support within communities is a successful way for people to access the support that they need. We currently have Street Connect partner churches and projects in Glasgow city centre, Royston, Clydebank, Paisley, Paisley Kilnside, Greenock and Wishaw. As we continue our vital work in each of these areas our aim is to grow into new communities and allow as many people as possible to access the support they need.

In this role you will be part of the Street Connect team seeking to develop and deliver community recovery support through a range of different routes to both male and female service participants who have a background of complex needs such as addiction, homelessness, and mental health issues, who are now at different stages in their recovery journey. This will include both those in aftercare who are living independently and free from such issues and those at an earlier stage in their recovery.

Street Connect are looking for an experienced individual who will work as part of the Operations team seeking to develop and deliver aftercare support through a range of different routes to both male and female service participants who have had a background of complex needs such as addiction, homelessness and mental health issues, who are now at a stage in their recovery journey where they are living independently and free from such issues all in support of our vision of empowered churches, transformed lives, revitalised communities. Releasing God given potential in disadvantaged lives through the mobilised local church.

Our Aftercare Development Worker will play a vital role in achieving this vision as they create and deliver aftercare packages of support to cover areas such as volunteering, work experience, training/education and person-specific support tailored to the needs of individual participants, to create support networks for employment and carrying out One-To-One consultations with participants.

To help achieve this, we are seeking to recruit a Community Fundraiser to join our Fundraising Team who, with the support of the Fundraising and Marketing Manager, can shape fundraising within the areas we work.

You will build, develop and maintain strong relationships throughout each area. You will inspire and support donors and volunteers, creating opportunities for people to give in order to raise the income needed.

One year postwith a view to becoming permanent after 12 months. (Funding received for first year)

Full-time post: 37.5 hours per week. Applicants interested in part-time hours may also be considered. If this is of interest, please state clearly on your application your preferred number of hours.

You'll be helping to engage with donors, track donor interactions, help build relationships, grow supporter value and support insight-driven campaigns producing reports as required. You will also support the wider work of the Fundraising and Marketing team with an overall focus on providing excellent donor care to our supporters.
