Miss Agnes H Hunter’s Trust is an independent charitable trust that provides grants to registered charities in Scotland that:

• help disabled people; or

• assist with the education and training of disadvantaged people aged 16 years or over who have left school.

The Trust has an annual grants budget of around £500,000/yr, awarding grants at Board meetings twice a year.

The charity is looking to recruit a new Trustee to join the current Board, replacing one retiring member. In a voluntary capacity, the Trustee will attend all Board meetings either online or in person in Edinburgh (typically 4-5/yr) and serve for a 5-year term, renewable for 3 years.

This is an exciting opportunity for candidates to assist in the progression of the Trust and its grant awards. In particular, the Trust is seeking a candidate with experience in accountancy and finance to complement the current Board experience. Sound knowledge of financial governance in the charity sector would also be of benefit.

The Trust recognises the benefits of a diverse Board and therefore encourages applications from a range of backgrounds.
