The SDS forum is an independent group of East Renfrewshire residents who choose to take control of their day-to-day care arrangements by directly employing care workers or by commissioning a care agency using Social Work money or ILF.
The Self Directed Support Forum would like to invite individuals who have the values, skills and experience to be a Personal Assistant (social care) to those who require support for a wide range of needs. This could be assistance with personal care, social inclusion within their local community, household chores and promoting health and wellbeing. A variety of hours will be available and various types of support requirements. Hourly rates and shift patterns will vary, depending on the individual’s needs.
As a Community Brokerage service, we are acting on behalf of people within the East Renfrewshire area who have a Self-Directed Support (SDS) Budget to manage their own care requirements.
We will review your application and if suitable, we will hold details on our database system. We will then share your details with those individuals we support who are looking to recruit Personal Assistants. If you match with more than one person then you may have the opportunity to increase your hours overall, depending on your availability.
If you are interested and would like to be considered for a Personal Assistant role, please complete our application form which can be downloaded below.
