Join us as a Campaigner in our Edinburgh office to push forward Amnesty’s campaigning and parliamentary work in Scotland, engaging with our activists and supporters along the way.

About the role

Working together with colleagues in Scotland, Northern Ireland and the key Amnesty teams in London, you will have responsibility for developing and managing Amnesty UK’s campaigning and advocacy activity in Scotland.

This will involve developing campaigns and projects for Scotland identifying tactical and innovative opportunities to achieve our objectives. While delivering various aspects of a campaign from mobilisation, to organising events and stunts, you will also lead on our advocacy in Scotland to ensure that Amnesty’s high profile in the Scottish Parliament is maintained, as well as participating in appropriate tactical alliances with other local organisations and involving our activists and supporters in our work.

About you

You will have experience of working in campaigning/public or government relations/communications or other related areas, organising events and meetings. You will have knowledge of the Scottish political system and have a proven ability to influence and achieve impact. You will have excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively and confidently with people from a range of backgrounds and be used to working with people in and outside of the organisation to achieve objectives.
