The Human Rights Consortium Scotland is Scotland’s civil society network to promote and protect human rights. As the Communications and Events Assistant, you will assist our Co-ordinator to deliver our projects, communicate with our members, and arrange and deliver stakeholder events across Scotland.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly efficient and effective assistant to play a central part in a new stage of our organisation’s development. A pro-active, enthusiastic, can-do person with demonstrable administrative, communications and events management experience, you will ensure that all of the Consortium communications are high-quality, effective and accessible. You will organise and manage our events, ensuring that they are accessible, reach the right people and are on budget. You will be able to do so with confidence, responding to individual’s needs and queries with ease.
You must also be able to work positively within a very small team and work alongside people of all backgrounds. You will have excellent organisational and IT skills, as well as flexibility in the support you offer the organisation.
While HRCS is currently part of Amnesty International, we are constituting as an independent organisation during 2020 but will continue to be based in the Amnesty offices in Edinburgh.
