Fundraising Manager

BTA (Bruce Tait Associates) are delighted to be working with Epilepsy Scotland in their search for a Fundraising Manager.

Around 1% of us live with epilepsy, making it the world’s most common serious neurological condition. While children and older people are most at risk of developing it, anyone can develop epilepsy at any time, and 8 people in Scotland do every single day.

Epilepsy Scotland are committed to making sure the needs of people with epilepsy are met. They work with people living with the condition to ensure that their voices are heard. They fight discrimination and stigma, influence public policy and work to ensure appropriate services are available.

This fantastic charity are looking for a Fundraising Manager to join their dynamic fundraising team at an exciting time of growth and development. With new services being introduced and others expanding it’s an important time for the charity. Working closely with the Head of Fundraising and Communications, this new role will assist in delivering and developing the fundraising strategy to raise the funds essential to the charity’s expansion.

The Fundraising Manager will also support and guide the fundraising team, manage the team’s budget and lead on the charity’s flagship events.

You may be working in a similar role or be an experienced Fundraiser looking to step up into a managerial role. If you would like to bring your ideas and energy to this hard-working charity, we want to hear from you!

Community and Event Fundraiser

We have an exciting opportunity for a Community and Event Fundraiser to join our growing Fundraising Team, based in Edinburgh. The post holder will foster links with our supporters and volunteer fundraisers, forming and maintaining links with them and offering support for their self-generated funding activities. S/he will also plan and manage Epilepsy Scotland’s own fundraising events in the area.

Candidates should demonstrate a proven track record of achieving fundraising targets as well as experience in Community and Event Fundraising. Candidates should be able to demonstrate experience in developing and maintaining effective relationships with supporters and volunteers and have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Reports To: Head of Fundraising and Communications

Service (s): Fundraising and Communications

Hours: 35 per week

Leave: 20 days + 12 public holidays
