Street League is one of Scotland’s leading youth employability providers, engaging 16-30 year olds who are unemployed, we operate our services across 25 communities in Scotland, all of which fall into the top 15% of the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation. Our operational footprint includes 16 Scottish Local Authorities and we also have services in another 8 cities in the wider UK. In the financial year 16/17, we progressed 1086 young unemployed Scots into work, education or further training. As a charity, we are dedicated to alleviating the poverty faced by Scotland’s young people by supporting them to enter employment or to advance into better jobs and learning opportunities. We are an SQA accredited centre and combine sport and employability with accredited learning to enhance the quality of provision and differentiate our service offer that young people receive. This is underpinned by our values as we believe in an equality of health, wealth and learning. Our service delivery operates at Stages 1, 2, 3 & 4 of the Strategic Skills Pipeline. We deliver on SDS Employability Fund, National and Local ESF programmes, Scottish Governments Fair Start and have grant and corporate funded services across Scotland. Retail Assessor, Scotland

Street League are recruiting a fully qualified Retail SVQ/MA Assessor to join our Education and Training team. The Assessor will be responsible for a caseload of candidates (maximum of 25) and will plan and carry out assessment against Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) assessment standards, ensuring timely achievement of Level 2 and 3 (SCQF 5&6) qualifications and associated milestones. You will be expected to work collaboratively with your learners over a period, visiting them regularly within their workplace to assess their competence in Retail using a variety of assessment methods to assess their progress against current SQA standards. You will working in a friendly and supportive team and Street League is open to a discussion on flexible working.

You are required to have demonstrable and current experience of assessment of the Retail SVQ and the associated core skills and enhancements required for MA achievement. Occupational Competency in other sectors would be advantageous. A relevant Assessor qualification (L&D9DI, A1 or similar) is essential. It is also expected that you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with learners and their colleagues as well as excellent time management, attention to detail and organisational skills in order to work effectively at Street League. A driving licence and access to a car is essential.

Progressions Coordinator, Clyde West

Street League are recruiting an Progression Coordinator to join our Clyde West team working across Inverclyde, Renfrewshire and / or East Renfrewshire. The Progressions Coordinator will work in partnership with their delivery partner (Youth & Community Coach, Fitness Coach or Dance Fitness Teacher) in delivering and administering Street League’s core programmes in their specific local area. You will be responsible for securing employment, education and training opportunities for Street League participants and supporting them to progress. You will be responsible for the delivery of Street League’s Academy, in which you will delivery group employability and personal development workshops and qualifications. You will maintain partnerships with referral agencies and develop further partnerships with employers or colleges in order to secure suitable opportunities for our participants. Monitoring and reporting are essential to this role.

You are required to have demonstrable and current experience of working with challenging participants, challenging behaviour, and those with low self-esteem, in particular 16-25 year olds not in education, employment or training as well as delivering qualifications, education or employability sessions. Experience of working in an environment where safeguarding and child protection is of high importance.

Top job! Head of Contracts & Quality, Scotland (maternity cover)

We are currently recruiting for a Head of Contracts and Quality. This role is pivotal to the business in Scotland and we are looking for someone to effectively manage the strategic direction of all public sector contracts and relationships. Working with the Managing Director, the post holder will have holistic senior business responsibilities in the day to day running of Street League however the prime objective is to ensure that there are adequate management systems in place to continually oversee compliance, risk and revenue streams.

This unique senior position is available on a maternity cover basis for 12 months however it is anticipated that the successful candidate would maintain a senior role within Street League following the initial tenure.

Youth & Community Coach

We are looking to recruit a Youth & Community Coach in Dunbartonshire. You will be required to deliver football, fitness and multi-sports sessions and to deliver a sports-related qualification on the Street League Academy. You will also be responsible for carrying out outreach for sessions and to recruit and sustain participants on the Academy to ensure delivery targets are met.

Minimum requirements are SFA Level 3 or similar, experience in coaching preferably with young people aged 16-24 and an understanding of the Street League client group.
