The Fostering Network is the UK’s leading fostering charity, bringing together everyone who is involved in fostering and in the lives of children to make foster care the very best it can be.

We’re seeking a dynamic, passionate and child centred individual, with a sound understanding and knowledge of the fostering landscape across Scotland. We are looking for someone who has the experience of engaging with key stakeholders across the sector, including decision makers, foster carers, fostering services and most importantly, children and young people. The role involves leading on our funded projects and programmes, and informing, influencing and driving up standards with our members and with key partners across the sector.

This post will require occasional overnight travel.

An exciting opportunity has arisen! We are seeking an exceptional individual to manage our established Practice Support Team and to provide professional support and guidance within our organisation, to our members and to the wider fostering sector.

We are seeking someone with a sound understanding of fostering and experience in social work practice. Key objectives of the role include managing a team of home workers and supporting the delivery of the organisation’s regional support offer. You will contribute to and provide specialist input into the development of fostering policy and practice across the UK, ensuring The Fostering Network maintain its role as a sector leader and continues to provide high quality support and advice to foster carers, fostering services and the wider fostering sector. This post can be based in any one of our UK offices or be considered for home working.
