Key Responsibilities:

Oversee financial management, planning, systems, and controls.

Manage the organisation's budget, financial forecasting, and cash flow.

Ensure compliance with accounting and legal requirements.

Coordinate and lead the annual audit process.

Oversee the running of our building and our foodbank service

Manager our payroll and HR functions

Develop and manage operational systems, processes, and policies in support of the organisation's mission.

Play a significant role in long-term planning, including initiatives geared toward operational excellence.

The YMCA Bellshill & Mossend have just secured 3 year funding from the National Lottery Young Start Program to continue and grow our Y-Hang Out and Y-Hang Out Teens Youth clubs.

We are looking for a Youth Worker to join us. You will be a dynamic and effective team member with excellent communication and time management skills with a commitment to delivering a high-quality service in line with our mission and values. You will provide support for young people in a group setting, making sure that all participants feel included and have fun!

Experience required:

• Previous experience working with young people.
• An understanding or experience of youth related community issues
• An understanding or experience in the role of a youth worker/
• An understanding or experience in challenging risk behaviours
• Previous experience of facilitating group sessions.
• Good knowledge of key issues around child wellbeing and protection
• Knowledge of local beneficial services and activities aimed at young people

Skills & Abilities:

• A friendly supportive and empathetic approach
• Excellent active listening skills including sensitivity to non-verbal cues
• Effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop strong relationships with children and young people
• Ability to grasp new concepts quickly and have the confidence to implement them
• Good organisational skills
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Ability to work as a team in a manner consistent with the values and mission of the organisation

Qualifications

• Youth Work qualification or relevant experience

The position includes regulated work with children and will require the successful applicant to become a PVG Scheme member.
