Kingdom Abuse Survivors Project (KASP) exists to provide support to eliminate the debilitating effects that childhood sexual abuse can have on adult survivors.
KASP are organisational members of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), providing counselling and support and more, to anyone over the age of 16 who is effected by their own or another’s childhood sexual abuse. All of our services are available throughout Fife.
We are looking for committed individuals to join our board of trustees. If you have time, are willing to ask questions and share our values of equality, transparency and community then we would love to hear from you. We are particularly looking for people with previous Board, Finance, Counselling, Human Resources experience.
Duties/tasks will include:
• Attend 6 board meetings per year – usually on a Monday evening
• Contribute to an identified sub-group that meet roughly 2/3 times a year
• Attend 1 Development Day with staff and trustees per year
• Assist in the recruitment of staff whenever necessary
Please note that all meetings at present are attended remotely.
Kingdom Abuse Survivors Project are seeking a Befriending Coordinator to assist in developing and co-ordinating all elements of volunteering including: advertising, recruitment, training, development and support of befriending volunteers within the organisation.
Applicants will have at least 3 years’ experience of providing services to vulnerable client groups and have proven experience of all aspects of managing and retaining volunteers.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a high degree of self-motivation and have the ability to motivate others. They will also have a passion for improving the lives of women and men who have experienced childhood sexual abuse.
Post will be based in Kirkcaldy and will involve travel across all areas of Fife.
