We consider the arts as a positive tool for change –helping people to build confidence, attain new skills, get back into work or education, source work in the creative arts, enjoy better health or simply improve quality of life. From dance to digital, our door is always open.
We work collaboratively with children, young people, older people and communities to achieve our aims. We work predominantly, but not exclusively, with vulnerable groups.
We use innovation, enterprise and creative approaches alongside outstanding delivery, sound management and a strong ethos of partnership to tackle society’s big issues.

Impact Arts is motivated by people – our participants and our team - and is driven by the impact we achieve. We operate in a highly creative, fun and fast paced environment with up to 50 funders supporting us to work with 6000 people each year by contributing towards our annual 60+ projects and £2m turnover. We celebrated our 25th Anniversary in 2019 and are working to achieve the strategic objectives set out in our Strategy to 2022 which sets out a clear vision for the next 3 years supported by ambitious turnover and impact targets.
The Head of Operations is a key leadership role within the organisation and is central to us realising our ambitions. We are looking for someone who is dynamic, with significant experience in leading the operational delivery of a multifaceted and vibrant organisation and who has exceptional organisational and operational performance management skills. The Head of Operations will be able to demonstrate considerable experience in successfully leading a team to deliver quality and impactful projects; someone who is empathetic to the challenges facing the children, young people and older people we engage and who can support our team of creative Programme Managers to deliver excellent, high quality projects.

Impact Arts has a long history of working across Glasgow and the West Coast, delivering high quality youth engagement and community based work. The role of Glasgow and the West Programme Manager is essential within our organisation and reflects our growing work across Glasgow and the surrounding areas.
The role of Glasgow and the West Programme Manager is predominately focussed on leading our young people and employability programmes. This will compliment our existing Programme Manager in Glasgow who will lead on Children and Community based programmes. It is expected that the successful candidate will take full ownership of our youth programmes and lead on all aspects of delivery alongside the freelance/core creative and pastoral teams.
To proactively develop strong strategic relations with youth delivery partners and public sector departments across the geographies in which Impact Arts delivers to ensure engagement targets are met and to support successful progressions.
To bring a strong knowledge of relevant sectors including youth employment and youth homelessness to the Impact Arts team.
You will be expected to undertake extensive travel across central Scotland – including Edinburgh, Glasgow, Lothian, Renfrewshire, Lanarkshire, Ayrshire (North, East & South).
With annual income around £1.9 million, over 50 salaried staff and with approximately 100 freelancers employed across Scotland, we are seeking an experienced and qualified Finance Manager to join the Impact Arts team. You will take responsibility for the finance and HR element of our Head of Finance and Operations role and report directly to Fiona Doring, Director.
You will be a skilled communicator and qualified accountant (ACCA or equivalent) with experience of the third sector and excellent technical accounting skills to support all aspects of the organisation. It is desirable that you also have some experience of SORP. You will come with a minimum of 5 years financial management experience and at least 3 years in people management.
To be responsible for the effective financial management at Impact Arts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
Overall accountability for Finance and HR functions at Impact Arts.
To support the Director (as Company Secretary) ensuring compliance with OSCR, Companies Act and other regulatory requirements.
Supporting the Finance Committee and Board through regular communication, meetings and updates
To contribute to the strategic leadership at Impact Arts through input into the strategic plan, promoting the vision and values and representing Impact Arts within networks in the arts, social enterprise, public, private and voluntary sectors
