Projects Support Coordinator Scotland

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our Scotland team to provide central support for our projects which inspire walking to school and better walking environments for everyone.

You will coordinate the delivery of projects and act as a key central contact, liaising with schools and project partners. This will involve the organising and distribution of resources and supporting project coordinators. You will ensure the smooth running of the Scotland team and office, helping to manage internal processes and communication across our project teams.

This will be a varied role and an ability to work to targets and deadlines across a wide variety of tasks is essential. The post will be home-based, with weekly travel to our Edinburgh office required.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our Scottish communities project team to coordinate work to inspire local changes to the environment that encourage walking and reduce traffic.

This will include training, focus groups, planning and facilitating workshops, street audits, surveys, informal meetings and feedback, online tools and other interventions as appropriate.

Each post will be home based, with travel within the area and to partner offices, plus occasional travel to our Edinburgh office.

This will be a varied role and an ability to manage a wide variety of relationships with councils, voluntary organizations and the public is essential.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our Scottish schools project team to coordinate work with primary and secondary schools and nurseries.

You will be responsible for recruiting and supporting primary schools, secondary schools and nurseries to take part activities which encourage walking to school, traffic reduction and improving streets. You will also be responsible for the recruitment and retention of schools and encouraging behavior through initiatives such as Living Streets WOW programme and school streets events.

Each post will be home based, with occasional travel to schools in the area and partner offices.

This will be a varied role and an ability to manage targets and a wide variety of tasks is essential.

Policy and Influencing Coordinator Scotland

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our Scotland Team to assist us in influencing policy, and to make sure we effectively communicate with project partners.

This role will drive forward the influence of Living Streets in promoting everyday walking with key audiences including politicians, civil servants, and councilors. This will involve monitoring and responding to developments in the Scottish Parliament and the Scottish Government relevant to Living Streets strategy. The post holder will also support project managers and coordinators and development staff, in their duties by providing advice on relevant policy and legislation.

Working closely with the Head of Living Streets Scotland, and UK policy colleagues, you will gather and share evidence on effective interventions to promote walking and learning from our Scottish projects. The post holder will represent Living Streets Scotland on policy networks, relevant to walking, public health, transport, and education. A critical part of the role will be working with Living Streets media and communications manager to generate press releases, policy briefings engaging project reports, and social media content.

Each post will be home based, with occasional travel to schools in the area and partner offices.

This will be a varied role and requiring excellent communication and organizational skills, including working to deadlines.

Top job! Project Manager Scotland

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our Scotland team to manage the delivery of multiple projects with local authorities and other partners in the public and private sector. The role will focus on walking to school projects and supporting communities with walking improvements, with the postholder being the lead contact for all our local projects and partnerships in Scotland.

You will be responsible for a small staff team and oversight of multiple budgets. A sound understanding of contract based work and financial reporting will be needed to succeed.

The postholder will work closely with the Head of Living Streets Scotland and the charity’s development team to renew and secure new projects, within the growing and dynamic active travel sector.

The post is homebased but requires regular travel to Edinburgh, and across Scotland to meet local project partners.
