With Kids is a small but dynamic charity supporting vulnerable children and families. We have a base in Glasgow and Edinburgh and also work in a number of other local authority areas. We provide an early intervention service for children, aged 3 to 12, who have experienced significant trauma in their lives. We also offer social and practical support to their families.
We currently have a vacancy for an energetic and self -motivated Business and Development Manager who will work closely with the Chief Executive to manage and develop all our business and financial activities. While the post is based in Glasgow it is expected that time will also be spent at our Edinburgh base
We are looking for a candidate who has relevant management experience and understands the complexities of the charitable sector. An understanding of local authority finance and procurement processes is also desirable.
21 hours per week over 3 days. This is 0.6 fte. Edinburgh
14 hours per week over 2 days. This is 0.4 fte. Glasgow
With Kids is an early intervention mental health charity working in Glasgow, Edinburgh and West Lothian. We provide individual, social and practical support to vulnerable children and their families and deliver Play Therapy throughout the communities we serve.
We are seeking to appoint two Community and Family Support Workers, one in Glasgow and one in Edinburgh,. The post-holders will lead the development of community and family support networks for children and parents/carers including the recruitment and support of volunteers.
Working in partnership with nurseries and primary schools in the east end of Glasgow or Braidburn School, a special educational needs school in Edinburgh, the post-holders will support a caseload of parents/carers who are identified as requiring specific 1:1 support, and help engage and develop a supportive network of families in this community.
Previous experience of community work and excellent communication skills are essential.
These posts are fixed term (Edinburgh until end June 2021, Glasgow until April 2023) relating to current funding, but every effort will be made to secure extended or alternative funding at that time.
