Are you interested in joining a dynamic social enterprise team? Do you have experience of working with vulnerable adults or young people? Are you self-motivated and an effective team player?

CCI are seeking to recruit a placement support worker to provide person centred support to individuals engaging in social enterprise activities and to assist in the coordination of individual placements and day to day programme delivery. The Placement Support Worker (Social Enterprise) will be part of a team of placement support workers, group workers and social enterprise workers.

Clydesdale Community Initiative’s (CCI) core mission is to support people experiencing barriers to inclusion to make a contribution to their community and use their experience to improve their health and well-being, reduce isolation and develop their confidence and aspirations. CCI offers supported placements to people with a range of abilities and needs including mental health issues, learning disabilities, autism and young people at risk.

Our current programmes and social enterprises include: Food growing for the Clydesdale Foodbank, Environmental projects for towns and villages across Clydesdale, Woodwork and Furniture Making, Langloch Visitor Centre including our kitchen and tearoom, Langloch Botanics producing handmade soaps and botanics

Role:

·Developing programmes of social enterprise activities in consultation with participants and the CCI team.

·Assessment of placements, ongoing reviews, inter-agency liaison and preparing placement reports.

The Placement Support Worker (Social Enterprise) will be expected to take responsibility for organising and delivering groupwork and personal development programmes, they will therefore need to be able to demonstrate that they are confident and competent in initiating, delivering, monitoring and reporting placement, project and programme outcomes.

It would be desirable for applicants to have qualifications or experience in community education, social work, occupational therapy, youth work or equivalent.

However, please note that a confidence, a willingness to learn relevant practical skills in areas such as food processing, crafts and gardening, a person centred approach and an uncompromising can do attitude both to placement support, group management and practical enterprise are the most essential qualities for this post and will be considered alongside previous experience and qualifications.

A full driving license essential.
