Service Administrator – Children's Rights & Advocacy, Paisley, Renfrewshire 18.5hr per week
We are looking to recruit an experienced and responsible administrator, supporting our children's rights and advocacy services in an effective and efficient manner. Essentially, you must have proven office experience with knowledge and experience of a range of IT packages. Tasks will include financialadministration, premises management, service user records administration and support with thedevelopment of monitoring reports for service commissioners. This post requires someone who has excellent organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines.

These services include Hear 4 U an independent advocacy service for children and young people which works to ensure their rights are respected and their views heard. We have two part time posts available across the following Hear 4u localities.
Independent Advocate – Barnardo's Hear 4 U Advocacy Service (2 p/t or 1f/t post)
18.5hrs per week – Inverclyde (currently funded until 31st October 2019 – possible extension)
18.5hrs per week – Renfrewshire

In this key role you will provide an independent advocacy service for children and young people from priority groups. Your role will be assisting children and young people to express their thoughts and views, ensuring that they can participate in the processes that affect their lives. You will also contribute to service development and evaluation. Experience of working directly with children, young people and families in a paid or voluntary setting will be essential, along with a sound understanding of child protection issues and a current driving license and access to a car for business purposes. Experience of advocating on behalf of children and/or young people is desirable.
Barnardo's Threads are looking to recruit a Team Manager to support the leadership and development of services to children, young people and families across Renfrewshire.
Threads currently provides a diverse range of service provision including intensive family support and interventions for children impacted by gender based violence and substance misuse. In addition we deliver initiatives in partnership with primary schools and the local authority to support children's attainment and Syrian families resettlement across Renfrewshire, with the overall focus to improve outcomes for children and young people.
The successful candidate should have the ability to inspire and motivate a multidisciplinary team and will be required to lead on the development of innovative evidence informed practice.
Experience of providing leadership to teams to promote the safety and wellbeing of children and young people is essential as is, a degree in Social Work/ Health/ Community Education and the ability to apply for SSSC registration.
A post qualifying Child Protection qualification is desirable.
