Looking to support Coatbridge Citizens? . Why not join the Board of Trustees at Coatbridge Citizens Advice Bureau. Our Trustees need to either live or work in Coatbridge and have a passion to help those less fortunate than themselves within the local community of Coatbridge and surrounding villages.
Be a proactive part of our Board of Trustees giving support and strategic direction to the local Citizens Advice Bureau and Bureau Manager, which is an essential part of Coatbridge and is available for independent, confidential and impartial advice and support to any citizen who contacts us.
We have lost some longstanding trustees in the last couple of years due to a 6 year serving rule and are keen to get fresh ideas and trustees who will take a proactive role in securing a future for us strategically as well as support for the Bureau Manager operationally if required.
This is an opportunity to ensure that local vulnerable citizens have the right to help both in advice and support to ensure that they are not disadvantaged in any way if they need someone to be in their corner if they have an issue. CAB is a well trusted brand and many don't realise that it is a charity and local to their community so you can also help raise our profile to ensure that everyone knows we are here and what we can help with. By having a strong board it makes a real difference to our community, our staff and our fabulous volunteers who are our frontline advisers who also give their time to help others. Board meetings for 1-2 hours are held bi monthly within the CAB.
If you want to chat about this volunteer role or wish to come and visit the CAB at Fountain Business Centre, Coatbridge, ML5 3AA to see it, then contact Marian Tobin (Bureau Manager) on 01236 427660
