Partners in Advocacy is a leading Scottish organisation in the development and delivery of independent advocacy, people are central to what we do. We have embedded an organisational culture based on the principals and values of independent advocacy. Our strategic aims include a continued focus on high-quality service delivery and an ambitious and exciting business development and growth agenda.
We are looking to add to our team of experienced Advocacy Workers who deliver independent advocacy to adult carers in the Highlands of Scotland. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person who enjoys working within a team but is also just as comfortable working on their own. The job is a busy one, and you’d be working to support carers to have their thoughts, feeling and wishes known in support of their caring role. You’d be joining an organisation whose values and principles underpin everything we do. If you have a passion for human rights and want to help people to speak up for themselves, check out our job pack for further details.
Whilst we’d be keen to hear from you if you have independent advocacy experience, a full induction and training programme is in place to support the right applicant.
You will need a clean driving licence and access to a roadworthy vehicle. We are currently working from home, but there will be a requirement to travel when restrictions are eased. PVG Scheme membership will be a requirement of the post – this will be arranged by us on appointment.
The post holder is responsible for supporting a new programme of engagement and options appraisal work around services to support people living with a long-term health condition (LTC) practice self-management.
Specifically, the post holder will lead on work to scope options for digital delivery and support, based on feedback and engagement from people with a LTC and other stakeholders. The options will then be developed into proposals and working alongside other LGOWIT colleagues the postholder will pilot preferred options. Before the completion of the fixed project term, the post holder will complete the work with a full report and provide recommendations for progress.
