Fife Women’s Aid are delighted to be launching a new service for women experiencing domestic abuse and are looking to recruit two full-time support workers to develop this service.
The roles will involve providing ongoing flexible support to women in their own accommodation, with a focus on harm reduction and tenancy sustainment within the community. The service will work in accordance with the Housing First principles and will enhance our existing service provision for women who have experienced domestic abuse.

We are looking for a Specialist Harm Reduction Worker who will work both within our fixed site in Leven and deliver outreach interventions in the Community.
The Specialist Harm Reduction Worker role is key to the delivery of an integrated service through the provision of assessment, recovery planning, appropriate referral, support, care co-ordinations and interventions. You will carry out assessments, as required and making appropriate onward referrals to specialist agencies, applying effective partnership working to deliver continuity of care.
Your organisation skills will assist you in managing an active caseload, providing structured brief harm reduction interventions and/or other psychosocial and pharmacotherapy interventions. Key to the role is the ability to assess and manage risk ensuring a safe and appropriate environment for all through active risk prevention, give advice on health and social wellbeing in both group and one to one settings.
As part of your role, you will support and train relevant local practitioners including Doctors, Nurses, Social workers and other allied professions; raising awareness, giving advice and guidance, addressing stigma, ensuring care standards are maintained and service users receive a sympathetic and integrated approach.

About the role:
We seek a full time (35 hours per week) Befriending Coordinator to promote and deliver Lead’s Fife Young Carers project and to provide additional support for our adult carers project. This is a befriending service for carers who are socially isolated and who need a break from their caring responsibilities. Fife Care at Home and housing Support Service provides support to individuals with severe and enduring mental ill health in their transition from long term hospital stay to living as independently as they can in the community. Skills in using digital platforms are essential as we use a blended approach to support people that involve some virtual meetings and on-line groups.

Fife Law Centre was established in 2009 and is a registered charity, constituted as a company limited by guarantee. It is the product of the vision of local agencies and providers who saw a need for accessible and specialist legal services for clients served by the Third Sector in Fife. We operate as a Board which sustains and supports a private legal firm, Fife Community Law Ltd, which itself is regulated by the Law Society of Scotland.
The purpose of the Board is to set the strategic direction of, and secure the resources for, Fife Law Centre, and to work with the Principal Solicitor to support the delivery of services. Our principal funders are Fife Council and the Scottish Legal Aid Board, under the Making Justice Work Project. We are also receiving grants from the Volant Trust, the Robertson Trust and the National Lottery Improving Lives Fund.
The current focus of legal work is on cases of homelessness, welfare law and supporting victims of domestic violence. The firm now also accepts employment related cases. Matters in other fields are dealt with at the discretion of the Principal Solicitor.
