We are looking to recruit a support worker for our Vice Versa project. Vice Versa provides support to adult women who have been involved, are currently involved or are at risk of being involved in Commercial Sexual Exploitation (CSE). The women we support generally experience multiple disadvantage which may include substance use, homelessness, physical and mental health issues, welfare issues and extensive historical and ongoing trauma.
Therefore, the ideal candidate will have significant experience in providing support to people using trauma informed support skills and have a sound knowledge of the impact of rape, sexual abuse and sexual exploitation.
Support can include 1:1 sessions in the centre or on outreach, supporting to attend appointments and groups, advocacy support and signposting to other organisations or support. Support is led entirely by the women and their needs and priorities.
We are looking to recruit a Sexual Violence Support & Trauma Worker – Initial Referral team (25 hours per week) The ideal candidate will have significant experience in providing support to people using trauma informed support skills and have a sound knowledge of the impact of rape, sexual abuse and exploitation on survivors.
Salary: £19,552 moving to £21,034 after successful completion of a probationary period.
Hours; 25 hours per week fixed term until 31st March 2025 with the possibility of extension should funding be secured.
Probation: This post is subject to 6-month probationary period if offer of permanent position is made.
Holidays: 33 Days plus 5 Public Holidays days for Festive Period. Please note this is pro rata for the 25 hour role.

We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our team.
The overall aim of this post is to deliver interventions to young people around healthy sexual relationships using the Rape Crisis Scotland sexual violence prevention pack, and to develop local strategic approaches to sexual violence prevention.
The successful applicant will be involved in the delivery of sexual violence prevention workshops with young people addressing issues around sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, sexualisation, consent and healthy relationships.
Experience in project development within a youth work model would be advantageous.
A commitment to preventing sexual violence and an understanding of a gendered analysis of violence against women and girls is essential. Candidates need to be skilled in engaging pro-actively with all young people, including hard to reach groups.
We are looking for someone to identify suitable Trusts, Foundations and other grant-making bodies, writing timely, factual and compelling funding applications, and co-ordinating the writing of reports to funders.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintain a good relationship with our current funders.
• Identify potential new funders and sources of income.
• Manage current funds and ensure projects remain on course to meet their outcomes.
• Write reports for current funds.
• Work alongside relevant teams to ensure relevant information is gathered to measure outcomes for reporting.
• Be responsible for keeping accurate records of all funding outcomes, outputs, and targets agreed with funders, and work with staff across the charity to ensure that data is gathered to measure these.

About Aberlour’s Mother and Child Recovery House
Aberlour is proud to be working with the Scottish Government to establish a new dedicated Mother and Child Residential Recovery House based in Dundee. Our service will be designed to enable children of women with problematic substance use to stay with mothers during their recovery. Aberlour’s approach to rehabilitation aims to deliver positive outcomes for women and their children.
We will be supporting families using the Parents Under Pressure (PuP) program which combines psychological principles relating to parenting, child behaviour and parental emotion regulation within a case management model. The program is highly individualized to suit each family. Parents are given their own Parent Workbook. For many parents, this becomes a personal journal of their treatment experience. The overarching aim of the PuP program is to help parents facing adversity develop positive and secure relationships with their children. Within this strength-based approach, the family environment becomes more nurturing and less conflictual.

What we are looking for....
Our relief workers play a crucial role in supporting our team. This work is offered on a casual, hourly paid basis to provide cover during staff absence and/or particularly busy periods. Availability should be specified on your application form.
Ideally you will have experience of direct work with vulnerable families to support improved capacity for women and children and of working collaboratively with other professional agencies and a working knowledge of drug/alcohol use and its effects on women and children.
Applicants should hold a relevant professional qualification at least SCQF level 7 or equivalent knowledge acquired by other means with a willingness to obtain the required qualifications for SSSC Registration.

Owing to our continued growth, we are seeking to employ two permanent, part-time (21 hours per week) Support and Benefits Advisors, to ensure that people affected by asbestos-related disease receive relevant help and assistance to secure welfare benefits and appropriate support. In this role, you will provide end to end practical and emotional support, as well as helping complete benefit applications, ensuring all appropriate benefits are applied for, assisting with mandatory reconsiderations, and appeals, where necessary.

We are delighted to introduce this brand-new role, which will be integral in supporting the growth of corporate volunteering due to significant new partnerships, by providing general administrative support across the Corporate Volunteering Team. Among your challenges will be the need to co-ordinate the operational elements of corporate volunteering, including supporting the delivery of a range of corporate volunteering opportunities such as shop challenges, pop-up shops, mentoring, home makeovers and skill-sharing workshops. 1:1 Support - We offer emotional support to survivors. Each session is a safe and confidential space for survivors to process the trauma they have experienced at their own pace. We do this by using a range of therapeutic interventions and tools which are survivor centred.
Group work support - We various creative groups and peer support groups all of which aims to reduce isolation and extend social circles. The aim of these are to build survivors support networks and build survivors confidence, reducing isolation and feelings of blame and shame.
Family and Friends -We can also provide support to family, friends, partners and agency workers to help them understand the impact of sexual violence and cope with their feelings whilst supporting a survivor.

Dundee Women’s Hub is a newly developed multi-agency support hub for women impacted by substance use, as well as multiple disadvantages that women face alongside this such as gender-based violence, housing issues, benefits and debt, health and wellbeing, relationships with children and family, and extensive experiences of historical and ongoing trauma. The Hub will improve access to substance use and related services for women with the overall goal of improving physical and emotional wellbeing for women and supporting to empower women to make informed choices.
Ritual Abuse Network Scotland (R.A.N.S.) are recruiting a Part-time Volunteer Development Worker. You will develop volunteering within the organisation and recruit, train and support volunteers. Flexible hours and some evening and weekend work.
R.A.N.S. is a charity based in Dundee (SC033706) but working across Scotland and the UK which provides confidential support and information to survivors of ritual and organised abuse. This charity is survivor led, works to raise awareness about ritual and organised abuse and its effects on survivors, provides research, training and consultancy and works in close partnerships with other survivor organisations.
