Would you like to make a difference working with service users with problematic substance use?
WDP has been providing drug and alcohol services in Cheshire West and Chester since 1 April 2019 and are proud of the high performance achieved in the service during this time. The service is commissioned by Cheshire West and Chester Council and is CQC registered.
The service works with Young People & Adults and actively promotes Recovery with individuals directly affected by substance misuse issues, those affected by someone else’s substance misuse and the local community, to improve the wider health and wellbeing of society.
Together we offer a wide range of pharmacological, psychosocial, recovery-orientated, health focused and inpatient interventions that support individuals and their families who wish to receive advice, assessment, and treatment for their drug and/ or alcohol related needs.
Experience of working within substance misuse and criminal justice knowledge or a related Health and Social Care setting is essential. The successful candidates must be committed, resourceful and highly motivated to engage service users within treatment services and promote recovery through their daily practice. This role will require the post holder to assess the needs of service users, deliver effective interventions, complete detailed reports, and work closely with our criminal justice partner agencies, clinical team and other partner agencies.
An empathetic and non-judgmental approach is imperative, as this role involves working with a wide range of challenging issues and behaviours, and many difficult to engage clients. Good time management and team working skills are essential in this fast-paced service.
WDP Cheshire West and Chester works across Chester, Ellesmere Port and Northwich. The successful candidate will be based in Northwich. There will however be an expectation to assist with any of our hubs across Cheshire West and Chester depending on the needs of the service.
