WDP has been providing drug and alcohol services in Cheshire West and Chester since 1 April 2019 and are proud of the high performance achieved in the service during this time. The service is commissioned by Cheshire West and Chester Council and is CQC registered.
The service works with Young People & Adults and actively promotes Recovery with individuals directly affected by substance misuse issues, those affected by someone else’s substance misuse and the local community, to improve the wider health and wellbeing of society.
Together we offer a wide range of pharmacological, psychosocial, recovery-orientated, health focused and inpatient interventions that support individuals and their families who wish to receive advice, assessment, and treatment for their drug and/ or alcohol related needs.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a newly created role of Deputy Service Manager to contribute to the ongoing management, growth, and development of the Service.
The successful candidate will have experience of working with individuals who use alcohol and substances, and a comprehensive understanding of the current operating environment within the substance misuse sector, including an excellent understanding of the requirements of CQC compliance.
You will manage and provide supervision to an agreed portfolio of service provision, working alongside the service’s prescribers to provide a clinically safe, sound and recovery focused service. While you will have defined areas of work you may have to deputise for the Service Manage in any part of the Service. While operational experience is key an added advantage will be a strong track record in performance and / or Quality management.

Salary band of £28,000- £35,000 per annum
37.5 hours per week
Work base to be agreed from any of the three Hubs
We have Hubs in Chester, Ellesmere Port and Northwich. There is an expectation for the successful candidate to be able to work across these sites, the wider Northwest and occasional travel to our Head office in London.
